Olympic National Park (7.17.11)

The Olympic Peninsula is an incredible combination of coastline, rainforest, and presumably mountains though they were hidden in the fog while we were there.

To get to one beach we tromped along a path of mud - often requiring ropes to navigate the steep sections.

It was well worth it.

The rainforest was full of moss ... everywhere.

Plus dangerous stream crossings,

pleasant stream perches,

and forest creatures.
